We are open to submissions.
We read essays, nature writing, poetry and translated fiction. We are a small press, so we take on only a few titles each year.
What we publish
Send us work that takes its time.
We are interested in essays, nature writing, poetry and translated fiction. We like writing that is precise, generous and unafraid of quiet.
We do not publish genre fiction, children's books, or AI-generated text.
Before you send
- 3–5 poems, a story, or a two-page proposal.
- A short bio and a note about previous publications.
- For translations, include the source text and a short sample.
- We reply within eight weeks.
- We pay a small advance and royalties.

Send your work to submissions@pineandquill.top with the subject line Submission: [title].
Please send text as a PDF or DOCX. If you are submitting poetry, you can paste the poems in the body of the email.
We read everything, but we cannot give detailed feedback on every submission. If we are not the right home for your work, we will try to say so clearly.
